Good morning!
Welcome to Digestable, your mouthful of things happening in the world.
Today’s news, fermented:
This week I’ve been reading and talking about the implications of Amazon’s new labor union, a beautiful thread on being a trans kid in Alabama, and little tiny protests against the Russian invasion of Ukraine:
DJ tomoro’s low-key music show
I'm excited about whatever Layla McCalla is singing about, especially if it's the Capitalist Blues. Ahead of her anticipated album, we got this very fun song to keep us company from this talented beautiful musician. Get stoked for the full album, Breaking the Thermometer, out May 6th.

After flying out to Vegas to attend the Grammys together, emoglam icons and power couple Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker decided to elope late Sunday night. Love and erraticism is in the air!To be clear, this isn't a legally binding marriage. The pair decided to visit a 24-hour "chapel" in Vegas to get married but there was no license produced at the end of it so all of this is, as Kourtney put it, practice for the real thing. Kourtney and Travis are clearly so infatuated with each other and this gives Kourtney even more things to talk about on the promotional tour for the Kardashians' new reality show on Hulu so I'm sure all of this, coupled with the excitement and free-flowing libations of the Grammys weekend contributed to the couple's decision to do something fun and outrageous. Plus, Vegas. I'm sure these two crazy kids will have a real wedding in the future though. And, somewhere in the arms of an underage girl, Scott Disick is heaving a gigantic sigh of relief that Kourtney's marriage to Travis isn't real. Everyone wins!
