I don't know who decided to wake up one day and ask Noel Gallagher for his opinions on Prince Harry and the falling out of the British Royal Family, but they did. And to nobody's surprise, Noel Gallagher is a wanker with some wanker-ish opinions. Some choice quotes from his interview with The Sun:
On the royals: “Prince William. I feel that f***ing lad’s pain. He’s got a f***ing younger brother shooting his f***ing mouth off with s*** that is just so unnecessary. I’d like to think I was always the William.”
People keep asking him about the royals while he’s doing promo: “It’s funny though, doing promo for this, it’s funny how they obsess about it around the world. I did a week here of Australian promo down the phone and Zoom and all that and they were like, ‘So Noel Gallagher, f***ing ten years of High Flying Birds! It’s been amazing! And f***ing Oasis! But what we really want to know is, how much of a c*** is Prince Harry?’ And I’m just like, ‘I don’t know mate. I don’t know them’. But Prince Harry is coming across like a typical f***ing woke snowflake, f***ing a***hole. Just don’t be f***ing dissing your family because there’s no need for it.”
Quotes pulled from Celebitchy.
Noel is a former member of British rock band Oasis, which he was part of with his brother Liam. The Gallagher brothers are pretty infamous for being at perpetual war with each other, to the point where it not only led to the demise of their band, but also dissolved the relationship they had with each other. I believe Noel and Liam don't speak to each other at all nowadays, which makes it pretty richly ironic that Noel of all people thinks he's got a lot to say about Prince William and Prince Harry's feud. I think Noel's observation that he's "the William" of his family makes sense too. Surly, not nearly as charming or as funny as he thinks he is, decidedly the more boring of the two -- yup, I see the similarities. I only find Liam Gallagher more tolerable because his insults to Noel are far superior and his Twitter is hilarious.
Anyway, if you're keeping score at home, the people who seem to be "Team British Royal Family" are the likes of Noel Gallagher and Piers Morgan. Are we still the company we keep? Asking for some colonizers.
